Job summary

Naeco offers an apprenticeship opportunity for a Fitter Machinist in Australia. The successful candidate will undertake a Certificate III Mechanical Engineering – Mechanical Trade while earning wages and gaining practical experience.

Expected to complete mechanical repair tasks, operate manual and CNC machines, and participate in root cause analysis within a safety-focused, team environment. Applicants must have Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or full working rights.

Responsibilities

Job description

In return, you will be exposed to and supported with:

• Stripping, assessing, repairing, assembling and testing mechanical seals, couplings and associated equipment
• Manual and CNC machine operation
• Assisting with root cause analysis investigations
• Completing inspection and test plans consistent with meeting corporate compliance standards
• Providing troubleshooting advice and reliability solutions
• Preparing repair work quotations, associated documentation and scheduling of jobs for repair.
