Job summary

Jobtailor in Australia is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter/Mobile Plant technician to provide safe, efficient diagnostic, maintenance and component replacement services. The role requires a Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical), 3+ years of experience, and readiness for police clearance and medical screening.

You will diagnose faults, repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mentor junior technicians in a workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
• National Police Clearance and Medical Screening including drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, efficient and compliant diagnostic, maintenance and component replacement services to the Division’s customer base
• Inspect and analyse components, identifying out-of-scope repairs
• Diagnose faults and repair, maintain and overhaul mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components
• Reassemble module components while maintaining Liebherr’s build standards
• Guide and mentor the next generation
• Report to the Workshop Supervisor

Requirements

• Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical) Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant, Light Vehicle, Fitter/Turner or Highway Trucks or equivalent qualification
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Liebherr mining equipment experience advantageous
• Successful applicants progressing past interview stage must undergo National Police Clearance
• Successful applicants progressing past interview stage must undergo Medical Screening including drug and alcohol testing
