Job summary

City of Darwin is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor in Darwin, Australia. The role supervises the workshop team to deliver scheduled maintenance, fleet repairs and modifications while meeting safety and compliance standards.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, mentoring, and operational excellence, ensuring continuity of service and optimal workshop performance. Entering a fixed-term contract with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• A relevant or equivalent Certificate III qualification is required.
• Leadership and supervisory experience is essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and planning/coordination skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the workshop team to complete repairs and maintenance.
• Plan and implement the fleet preventive maintenance program.
• Oversee repairs and modifications of plant and equipment.
• Manage workshop stores, parts, and consumables.
• Maintain records and ensure health and safety compliance.
• Role requires leading by example within the team.
