Job summary

Select L&T Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor for our Smithfield, NSW-based fleet maintenance workshop. You will lead a team of Heavy Diesel Mechanics, coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensure safety, compliance, and efficient operations.

You will report to the Head of Fleet and maintenance, oversee scheduling, records, and supplier relations, and drive improvements to reduce downtime and costs across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
• Experience in fleet or diesel maintenance.
• Proven leadership and supervision experience.
• Knowledge of safety, compliance, and maintenance documentation.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency with maintenance management systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations, repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance.
• Lead, coach, and support workshop personnel to meet safety, quality, and performance objectives.
• Monitor fleet availability and maintenance schedules.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, OEMs, and warranty providers.
• Ensure accurate maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance workshop efficiency, reliability, and cost control.
