Job summary

Clark Equipment is seeking experienced Workshop and Field Service Technicians in the Sydney area to service premium construction and earthmoving equipment. You’ll work from the Smithfield team, with a fully equipped company vehicle for Field Service and a modern workshop for on-site repairs.

Ideal candidates have Diesel/Heavy Vehicle/Plant or Automotive trade qualifications, strong fault-finding skills, and a current Australian Driver Licence.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel, Heavy Vehicle, Plant or Automotive Mechanic.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.
• Commitment to safety, quality and customer service.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Advanced fault diagnosis across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Repairs, component rebuilds and machine overhauls.
• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Machine inspections and safety checks.
• Utilising OEM diagnostic software and technical resources.
• Maintaining accurate service reports and documentation.
• Delivering professional customer support and technical advice.

The Opportunity

As a Workshop or Field Service Technician, you'll work on premium construction, earthmoving and materials handling equipment while being supported by experienced service, technical and parts teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Advanced fault diagnosis across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
• Repairs, component rebuilds and machine overhauls
• Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance
• Machine inspections and safety checks
• Utilising OEM diagnostic software and technical resources
• Maintaining accurate service reports and documentation
• Delivering professional customer support and technical advice

Field Service Technicians will service equipment throughout the Sydney region using a fully equipped company vehicle.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for tradespeople who take pride in their workmanship, enjoy solving technical problems and want to be part of a professional team.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Trade qualification as a Diesel, Heavy Vehicle, Plant or Automotive Mechanic
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic experience
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Commitment to safety, quality and customer service
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

Highly Desirable

• Auto Electrical experience
• Automotive Air Conditioning Licence
• Hydraulic diagnostic experience
• Material handling, construction or agricultural equipment experience
• MR Licence
• EWP, LPG or other industry certifications

Salary range up to $55 per hour + overtime + car (dependant on experience)
