Job summary

CJD Equipment in Melbourne (Campbellfield) is seeking experienced Workshop Mechanics stepping into Field Service Technician roles, blending workshop precision with on-site problem solving.

You will diagnose, service and repair Volvo Construction Equipment, provide technical support, complete reports, and travel to customers as needed; a strong focus on safety, OHS, and quality service.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Plant Mechanic or equivalent
• Strong technical knowledge of construction, earthmoving or heavy equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
• Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills
• Computer literacy and experience using diagnostic tools and parts catalogues
• Flexibility for occasional after-hours or weekend work (penalty rates apply).

Workshop Mechanics - Field Service Technicians

Enjoy the comfort of working in a workshop, but seek the independence of working solo out in the field? With this role, you get to do both!

CJD is looking for a confident and experienced Workshop Mechanics who are ready to step up into a more technical role of Field Service Technician who can handle the challenge of identifying technical issues, diagnosing problems and communicating (both verbally and written) to ensure customers and support teams clearly understand work required and performed on site. CJD dedicated Service department is based out of the Campbellfield Branch in Melbourne, and our Field Service Tech's travel near and far to provide full support to our customers.

Offering the best of both positions, this varied hybrid role will see you working in the workshop one day and have you heading out to complete field servicing the next - keeping every day interesting and putting your full skills and knowledge to work across different environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, service and repair Volvo Construction Equipment in the workshop and field
