Job summary

Austcorp Executive Recruitment PTY Ltd is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator, Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter to join a busy Crestmead workshop. This is a hands-on role in a tight-knit team of about 12, with stainless and mild steel fabrication, welding and general workshop duties.

The role offers a day shift (6:00am – 2:30pm) with regular overtime and an immediate start. You will report to the shop lead and bring hands-on welding and fabrication skills to the team.

Qualifications

• Hands-on fabrication, welding and fitting in a workshop environment.
• Experience with stainless steel or mild steel is preferred.
• Background in food processing equipment, meatworks or abattoir environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication, welding and general workshop duties.
• Operate and hand tools in a busy Crestmead workshop.
• Work as part of a small team of around 12 people and support the main line.

Sheet Metal Fabricator / Boilermaker / Mechanical Fitter

Crestmead, Brisbane QLD | $50–$52 per hour + overtime | Day Shift | Immediate Start

Austcorp Executive is currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator, Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter to join a busy workshop based in Crestmead. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being on the tools and wants to work as part of a tight-knit team of around 12 people.

The Role

• Workshop-based position in Crestmead
• Day shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm
• Regular overtime available — typically at least 2 hours per day
• Work primarily with stainless steel and mild steel
• Fabrication, welding, fitting and general workshop duties
• Work as part of a team of approximately 12 people
• Report directly to Jason
• Immediate start available — can commence Monday

About You

We're open to candidates from a few different trade backgrounds. You could be:

• Sheet Metal Fabricator
• Boilermaker
• Mechanical Fitter with strong welding/fabrication skills

The key requirement is that you are still hands-on and confident on the tools.

Experience working with food processing equipment, meatworks or abattoir environments would be highly regarded and may attract the top end of the pay range.
