Job summary

Rubberline Pty Ltd is seeking reliable Trades Assistants to support workshop and onsite operations in Melton, VIC. You will work with experienced technicians, assisting with prep, application, and finishing of Rubber Linings and maintenance of conveyor components.

We offer on-the-job training, a safety-focused team, and opportunities for overtime. Location: Melton, VIC; expect consistent full-time hours with regular overtime.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Trades Assistant or similar role is advantageous.
• Ability to use basic hand tools with accuracy.
• Valid driver's license is required; white card is a plus.
• Strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Assist experienced technicians with daily tasks in workshop and on-site.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
• Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Operate hand and power tools safely during tasks.

Job description

We are seeking reliable, hardworking and time-efficient Trades Assistants to support our workshop and onsite operations. In this role, you will work closely with our experienced technicians, assisting with the preparation, application, and finishing of Rubber Linings and additionally the maintenance, service, repair and assembly of conveyor components and systems. This is a physical, hands-on role perfect for someone who is looking to build a career in a specialised industrial trade.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate a strong commitment and understanding of workplace safety
• Assist experienced technicians with daily tasks
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment - externally and internally
• Load and unload deliveries safely
• Operate hand and power tools safely
• Prepare workshop orders of components and assist with the preparation for on-site services
• Flexibility, including the ability to work on-call and undertake overtime when required

About you

• Previous experience as a Trades Assistant, ideally within a physical role is an advantage
• Ability to use basic hand tools
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Excellent teamwork and strong communication skills
• Valid driver's license (white card is a plus)
• While it is not essential, it is an advantage if you hold current tickets such as Forklift, EWP/ Scissor Lift, Working at Heights, Dogger, Bassic Rigging, or confined space
