Job summary

Keolis Downer Northern Beaches is seeking a Workshop Bus Transfer Driver (Maintenance Support) to move buses between North Sydney and Brookvale depots and assist the workshop team. Based at the North Sydney Depot, you will perform minor repairs, support fleet maintenance, and help tradespersons while maintaining safety standards.

Hours are between early morning and evening, with some shifts involving weekends.

Qualifications

• Interest in heavy vehicle fleet maintenance work or equivalent experience.
• Labouring experience with heavy or large vehicles; training provided.
• Ability to operate cleaning and general workshop equipment.
• Physically capable of performing manual tasks.
• Strong team player in a busy maintenance environment.
• MR or HR driver's licence preferred.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment medical, criminal history and working with children checks.
• All tools, protective equipment and uniforms provided.
• Fortnightly rotating day/afternoon shifts with weekend overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Drive and transfer buses between North Sydney Depot, Brookvale Depot, and external contractors.
• Support planned maintenance programs by ensuring timely and safe vehicle movements.
• Carry out minor repairs and basic maintenance tasks under direction.
• Assist tradespersons with workshop activities as required.
• Complete ad hoc workshop duties, including cleaning, refuelling, and vehicle preparation.
• Follow all safety, operational, and compliance procedures.
• Accurately complete required documentation and reports.
• Maintain a professional standard when representing the business on public roads and at contractor sites.
