Busways is seeking a Depot Maintenance Assistant at the Blacktown Depot to support our mechanical tradespeople and keep our fleet in top condition. This role suits someone with basic to intermediate mechanical knowledge and a professional approach.

You will carry out yard duties, parts delivery, and light repairs to buildings, with training provided. A team‑focused mindset and good communication are essential.

Competenze

• Willingness to work a variety of shifts.
• Experience in a team environment on maintenance schedules is beneficial.
• Ability to use computers and software packages.

Mansioni

• Cleaning the yard and mowing lawns as required.
• Emptying bins in the workshops and depot yard as required.
• Picking up and delivering parts and other objects as directed by the Workshop Manager/Supervisor.
• Carrying out maintenance and repairs to buildings as required, such as cleaning gutters and painting.

Depot Maintenance Assistant

We’re currently seeking a driven individual that has a basic to intermediate understanding of mechanical knowledge to join our team as a Depot Maintenance Assistant. This role provides support to our mechanical tradespeople and wider workshop based team to ensure our high standards in maintaining and upkeeping our fleet are consistently met. Come on board with Busways at our Blacktown Depot.

Role Responsibilities

This role requires a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main duties will include:

• Cleaning the yard and mowing lawns as required
• Emptying bins in the workshops and depot yard as required
• Picking up and delivering parts and other objects as directed by the Workshop Manager/Supervisor
• Carrying out maintenance and repairs to buildings as required, such as cleaning gutters and painting
• Maintaining gardens and depot premises as required
• Perform ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed

Our workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road.

You can expect to be provided with all necessary training, this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations.

The Successful Applicant Will

• Be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have unrestricted working rights in Australia
• Hold a current Unrestricted Australian drivers licence issued by the relevant State
