Job summary

Troocoo is recruiting an experienced Workforce Planner to join a frontline service Queensland Government department based in Brisbane, delivering government services across multiple channels.

In this role, you will develop and optimise workforce schedules, monitor workloads in real time, and provide data-driven insights to guide operational decisions. You will engage stakeholders, lead complex planning initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement in a high‑volume service environment.

• Providing specialist advice on workforce capability and resource management.
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen workforce planning and address resourcing challenges.

Troocoo is recruiting an experienced Workforce Planner to join a frontline service Queensland Government department based in Brisbane. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a large-scale service delivery environment providing whole-of-government services to Queenslanders across multiple channels, including phone, chat, counter and online services.

The Role As the Workforce Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring workforce resources are effectively planned and deployed to meet operational requirements and service delivery targets.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and optimising workforce schedules and planning strategies, aligning forecasts, employee availability and business requirements.
• Monitoring workloads, service levels and workforce performance in real time and adjusting resources to maintain operational targets.
• Analysing workforce data and producing forecasts, reports and actionable insights to support operational decision-making.
• Maintaining workforce planning data and systems to ensure data integrity and effective resource planning.

We are looking for an experienced workforce planning professional who can operate effectively within a complex, high-volume service environment.

You will bring strong experience in resource and workforce planning, combined with the ability to lead complex initiatives, analyse workforce requirements and identify practical solutions. You will also have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to provide clear specialist advice and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
