Delaware North Australia & New Zealand is seeking a Workforce Coordinator to join our team at the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) on a casual basis for the Melbourne Cup Carnival. You will coordinate a large casual workforce across hospitality, dining, retail, and event operations, ensuring staffing aligns with forecasted demand.

Ideal candidates have experience in workforce coordination or rostering, strong admin skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced venue

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain rosters for a large casual workforce across multiple departments
• Support workforce planning for race days, hospitality activations, premium events
• Liaise with operational leaders to ensure staffing levels align with forecasted demand
• Utilise workforce management system, Humanforce, to create, maintain, and optimise rosters
• Manage employee availability, shift confirmations, and workforce communications
• Respond to last-minute staffing changes and operational requirements
• Assist with event-day workforce coordination and check-in processes
• Ensure rostering practices align with relevant awards, enterprise agreements, and company procedures

Delaware North Australia is seeking a Workforce Coordinator to join our team at the iconic Victoria Racing Club (VRC) on a casual basis.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced workforce planning, rostering, or staffing professional to support the delivery of the Melbourne Cup Carnival, one of Australia's premier sporting and hospitality events.

We are looking for someone who can commence immediately and provide support through to the end of the Melbourne Cup Carnival. While this is a casual position, the successful candidate can expect full-time hours throughout the Carnival preparation and event period.

Working closely with operational leaders, you will help coordinate a large casual workforce across hospitality, premium dining, retail, and event operations, ensuring the right people are in the right place at the right time.

What will you do?

• Coordinate and maintain rosters for a large casual workforce across multiple departments
• Support workforce planning for race days, hospitality activations, premium events

More About You

• Previous experience in workforce coordination, rostering, scheduling, labour planning, or staffing
• Experience managing high-volume casual workforces within hospitality, events, stadiums, venues, or similar fast-paced environments
• HumanForce experience is highly desirable
• Understanding of the Hospitality Industry General Award (HIGA) is preferred
• Strong administration and computer skills
• Exceptional organisation and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines
