Job summary

Granite Consulting in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to support a major HRIS transformation, focusing on preparing, cleansing and migrating HR data into Workday. The role is hands-on, collaborating with HR, payroll and technical teams to ensure data accuracy and readiness for migration.

You will engage across HR and payroll datasets, lead source-to-target mappings, and validate data prior to go-live, with a strong emphasis on data quality and governance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in data analysis, data migration or business analysis.
• Experience delivering at least one end-to-end HRIS or ERP data migration.
• Strong experience working with Workday and/or complex HR and payroll datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong SQL capability for data manipulation, reconciliation and validation.
• Understanding of data mapping, transformation, data quality and relational databases.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Workday data loads, EIBs, payroll parallel testing, Power BI or Python will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, profile and cleanse HR and payroll data across multiple source systems.
• Develop source-to-target data mappings and transformation rules aligned with Workday data requirements.
• Identify data gaps, resolve quality issues and validate datasets ahead of migration.
• Support Workday data loads, mock conversions, reconciliation, UAT and payroll parallel testing.
• Assist with cutover planning, production data validation and post-implementation support.
• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to validate data and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain data documentation, governance standards and clear data ownership.
