Job summary

Juniper Aged Care is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Advisor to support safe, healthy workplaces across a range of programs and environments. You will conduct risk assessments, incident investigations and ensure compliance with WHS laws, partnering with site leaders to implement improvements.

Ideal candidates hold a Certificate IV in WHS, ICAM, and a Construction White Card, with a C-class license; eligibility for baseline security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety required.
• ICAM Lead Investigator qualification.
• Construction White Card.
• C-class driver’s license.
• Eligible for baseline security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and sub‑contractors.
• Ensure compliance with WHS Act 2011 and jurisdictional requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, JSA, ergonomic, manual handling and hazardous substances assessments.
• Partner with site leaders to address EH&S issues and investigate incidents to determine root causes and corrective actions.
• Contribute to and implement EH&S policies, procedures and reporting; maintain records.
• Promote and coordinate EH&S engagement to deliver the company’s EH&S Plan.
• Travel may be required.

Job Summary

We are seeking a bright and energised Environmental Health & Safety Advisor to join a team of dedicated professionals committed to creating safe, healthy and sustainable workplaces across a diverse range of programs and operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including health & safety representatives, varied workgroups, customer representatives and sub‑contractors including deployment of stakeholder management plan.
• Achieve and maintain compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2011 and relevant jurisdictional requirements.
• Conduct various types of health and safety assessments, including risk assessments, job safety analysis, ergonomic assessments, manual handling assessments and hazardous substance risk assessments.
• Partner with site leaders and managers to proactively respond to environment, health and safety issues before and as they arise, including undertaking investigations following incidents or occurrences to determine likely causes, corrective actions and improvement opportunities and control effectiveness.
• Contribute to and facilitate implementation of policies, plans, procedures and processes, including high‑quality reporting and records management.
• Proactively promote and coordinate program engagement processes and initiatives to deliver the company's Environment, Health and Safety Plan.
• Travel may be required to fulfil the requirements of this role.
