Job summary

WP Engine, a leading WordPress technology company, is looking for a Technical Support L1 in Australia. You will handle live chat, phone, and ticket inquiries and become the face of our brand as you resolve WordPress-related questions and issues.

You’ll build deep knowledge of WordPress, Plugins, Genesis framework, and related open source technologies, growing through internal training while collaborating with a global, inclusive team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in technical support or customer service.
• Familiar with open source content management systems and WordPress plugins/themes.
• Proficient with DNS and SSL.
• Comfort with Linux command line and remote file management.
• Experience with StudioPress or Genesis framework.
• Experience with online chat and phone support.
• Familiar with core web hosting error codes (e.g., 404).

Responsibilities

• Provide first-contact support to customers via live chat, phone, and tickets.
• Develop deep technical knowledge of WordPress and related open source technologies.
• Deliver world-class customer experiences with every interaction.
• Collaborate with teammates to maintain a positive, inclusive work environment.
