Job summary

XPT Software Australia in Canberra seeks an experienced Windows 365 / Microsoft 365 SME to design, implement, administer, and support Microsoft cloud and end-user computing environments. You will provide technical leadership across Windows 365 Cloud PC, Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and endpoint security, while complying with Australian Government security requirements.

The role covers architecture, migration, deployment, and continuous-improvement initiatives, with a focus on security

Qualifications

• NV1 security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain NV1.
• Hands-on experience with Windows 365 Cloud PC.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Knowledge of endpoint security concepts and policies.
• Experience with Defender products and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Windows 365 Cloud PC environments.
• Administer Intune for device management, configuration, and policies.
• Manage Entra ID including users, groups, CA, MFA and lifecycle.
• Support Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive.
• Develop and maintain endpoint security and compliance policies.
• Troubleshoot Windows 365, Intune, Windows 11 and connectivity issues.
• Automate administration tasks using PowerShell and Graph.

We are seeking an experienced Windows 365 / Microsoft 365 SME to design, implement, administer, and support Microsoft cloud and end-user computing environments. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across Windows 365 Cloud PC, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and endpoint security, while working within Australian Government security and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Windows 365 Cloud PC environments.
• Administer Microsoft Intune for device management, configuration, compliance, applications, and policies.
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID including users, groups, authentication, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity lifecycle.
• Support and administer Microsoft 365 services including:
• Exchange Online
• SharePoint Online
• Microsoft Teams
• OneDrive
• Microsoft Defender

Develop and maintain endpoint security and compliance policies.

Troubleshoot Windows 365, Intune, Windows 11, networking, identity, and Microsoft 365 issues.

Implement application deployment, patching, configuration profiles, and device baselines.

Automate administration and operational tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph where appropriate.

Monitor service health, performance, security posture, and capacity.

Participate in architecture, migration, deployment, and continuous-improvement initiatives.

Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and support/runbook documentation.

Work with security, infrastructure, network, and service-management teams to resolve complex issues.

Ensure solutions align with Australian Government security, compliance, and information-management requirements.

Essential Skills & Experience

• NV1 security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain NV1.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows 365 Cloud PC.
• Strong Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
• Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience.
• Solid Windows 10/11 enterprise administration knowledge.
• Experience with Conditional Access, MFA, device compliance, Autopilot, configuration profiles, and endpoint security.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience troubleshooting complex identity, endpoint, application, and connectivity issues.
• Understanding of Microsoft security and compliance concepts.
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Desirable

• Experience in Australian Government environments.
• Experience with Protected / classified environments.
• Microsoft certifications such as:
• MD-102 - Endpoint Administrator
• MS-102 - Microsoft 365 Administrator
• AZ-104 - Azure Administrator
• SC-300 - Identity and Access Administrator
• SC-400 - Information Protection Administrator

Experience with Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and Microsoft Purview.

Experience with Windows 365 Enterprise, Frontline, Cloud PC provisioning policies, and Azure Network Connection (ANC).

Familiarity with Essential Eight / ISM controls.
