Job summary

XPT Software is seeking an experienced Windows 365 / Microsoft 365 SME to design, implement, administer, and support cloud and end-user computing environments within Australian Government security requirements.

The role leads across Windows 365 Cloud PC, Intune, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365, including endpoint security. NV1 security clearance or ability to obtain NV1 is required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design, deployment, and administration of Windows 365 Cloud PC environments.
• Deep knowledge of Intune device management, policies, and compliance.
• Proficient with Entra ID/Azure AD, Conditional Access, and MFA.
• Strong scripting using PowerShell for automation and reporting.
• Experience with Defender products, Microsoft 365 services, and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Windows 365 Cloud PC environments.
• Administer Intune for device management, configurations, and policies.
• Manage Entra ID including users, groups, and authentication workflows.
• Support Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Windows 365 / Microsoft 365 SME to design, implement, administer, and support Microsoft cloud and end-user computing environments. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across Windows 365 Cloud PC, Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and endpoint security, while working within Australian Government security and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Windows 365 Cloud PC environments.
  
• Administer Microsoft Intune for device management, configuration, compliance, applications, and policies.
  
• Manage Microsoft Entra ID including users, groups, authentication, Conditional Access, MFA, and identity lifecycle.
  
• Support and administer Microsoft 365 services including:
  
• Exchange Online
  
• SharePoint Online
  
• Microsoft Teams
  
• OneDrive
  
• Develop and maintain endpoint security and compliance policies.
  
• Troubleshoot Windows 365, Intune, Windows 11, networking, identity, and Microsoft 365 issues.
  
• Implement application deployment, patching, configuration profiles, and device baselines.
  
• Automate administration and operational tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph where appropriate.
  
• Monitor service health, performance, security posture, and capacity.
  
• Participate in architecture, migration, deployment, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  
• Produce technical documentation, operational procedures, and support/runbook documentation.
  
• Work with security, infrastructure, network, and service-management teams to resolve complex issues.
  
• Ensure solutions align with Australian Government security, compliance, and information-management requirements.
  
• NV1 security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain NV1.
  
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows 365 Cloud PC.
  
• Strong Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager experience.
  
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD.
  
• Solid Windows 10/11 enterprise administration knowledge.
  
• Experience with Conditional Access, MFA, device compliance, Autopilot, configuration profiles, and endpoint security.
  
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
  
• Experience troubleshooting complex identity, endpoint, application, and connectivity issues.
  
• Understanding of Microsoft security and compliance concepts.
  
• Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  
• Experience in Australian Government environments.
  
• Experience with Protected / classified environments.
  
• Microsoft certifications such as:
  
• MS-102 - Microsoft 365 Administrator
  
• SC-300 - Identity and Access Administrator
  
• SC-400 - Information Protection Administrator
  
• Experience with Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Office 365, and Microsoft Purview.
  
• Experience with Windows 365 Enterprise, Frontline, Cloud PC provisioning policies, and Azure Network Connection (ANC).
  
• Familiarity with Essential Eight / ISM controls.
