GE Vernova is seeking a Wind Farm Field Service Technician at Bango NSW to maintain and troubleshoot wind turbines at frontline renewable energy sites. You will climb turbines, perform inspections, and support ongoing reliability of the 244MW wind farm, located on Ngunnawal Country near Boorowa and Yass.

The role requires electrical qualifications, fault-finding skills, a valid NSW driver’s license, and a strong safety mindset. Travel to other sites and after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• Licensed electrician (NSW).
• Experience fault finding on electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Strong English written and verbal communication.
• Current unrestricted driver’s license.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks at heights.
• Commitment to safety, high performance and continuous improvement.
• Independent, solution-oriented and well-organized.
• Open to travel to other sites.

Responsabilités

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbines and site infrastructure.
• Follow GE manuals, specs and work instructions for tasks and inspections.
• Conduct maintenance, fault finding and high voltage switching as required.
• Participate in annual maintenance, retrofit work and major component exchanges.
• Use GE software tools to maintain reports and raise technical queries.
• Ensure compliance with JSA, LOTO and EHS policies and report issues promptly.
• Make conformance or non-conformance decisions after inspections.
• Report errors, incidents or problems using GE reporting systems.
• Embrace a 37.5-hour week with overtime and on-call rosters as directed.
