Job summary

GE Vernova is hiring a Field Service Technician to maintain and troubleshoot GE wind turbines at the Boco Rock Wind Farm near Nimmitabel, NSW. You’ll climb turbines, perform fault finding, and work with site infrastructure in a safety‑driven environment.

The role requires a qualified Electrician or Mechanical trade, strong English communication, and a valid driver’s license. Training, a 37.5-hour week and potential overtime support a dynamic renewable energy career.

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician or Mechanical trade certification.
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Proficient with computer systems and GE software tools for reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled turbine and site infrastructure maintenance.
• Follow manuals, specs and work instructions to perform tasks and inspections.
• Conduct maintenance, fault finding and high voltage switching operations as required.
• Participate in annual maintenance, retrofits and component exchanges.
• Use GE software tools to maintain reports and raise technical queries.
• Adhere to JSA, LOTO, EHS policies and report issues promptly.
• Make conformance decisions after inspections and document accordingly.
• Work a 37.5-hour week with overtime and on-call rosters when directed.
