Job summary

Richard Crookes Constructions (RCC) is seeking a WHSE Advisor to help maintain a safe, compliant work environment across our sites. You’ll work with project teams, WHSE managers and leaders to implement systems, conduct site inspections and drive hazard management.

The role emphasizes incident investigations, onboarding, audits and a proactive safety culture, with a focus on building a long-term career in WHSE within RCC.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Experience in a construction, engineering or safety-related role.
• ICAM or similar incident investigation training.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proactive and collaborative approach to safety.
• Eagerness to learn, develop and build a long-term career in WHSE.
• Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Responsibilities

• Supporting the implementation of RCC's WHSE systems, standards and project-specific compliance requirements.
• Assisting with workforce onboarding and inductions.
• Conducting site inspections, audits and safety observations.
• Supporting risk assessments, SWMS reviews and hazard management activities.
• Assisting with incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Encouraging proactive hazard reporting and a positive safety culture across project teams.
• Working closely with site leadership to ensure safe work practices are maintained at all times.
