Job summary

Linktal Recruitment seeks an experienced WHSE Manager to join a leading developer-builder on Sydney's landmark Class 2 residential project. You will lead WHSE systems, drive safety culture, and ensure compliance across site personnel and subcontractors.

This role offers autonomy, exposure to a $1–2 billion masterplanned development, and the opportunity to influence project-wide safety strategy with a supportive leadership team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a WHSE Manager or Senior WHSE professional within the construction industry.
• Sound knowledge of NSW WHS legislation, ISO standards, and construction safety management systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to influence safety culture across large project teams.
• Relevant WHS qualifications and White Card.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of project WHSE systems and procedures.
• Promote a positive safety culture across all site personnel, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company standards.
• Provide guidance and support to project teams on WHSE matters, incident prevention, and risk management.
• Lead incident investigations and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Monitor subcontractor WHSE performance and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
• Prepare WHSE reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, and external stakeholders as required.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and environmental performance across the project.
