Job summary

MTC FutureReady in Marrickville seeks a seasoned Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Manager to lead the WHS framework across MTC FutureReady and MTC Recruitment Limited. You will work with senior leaders to drive proactive risk management, injury prevention and a strong safety culture.

Reporting to the General Manager, Governance, Risk & Compliance, you will develop programs, provide expert advice, conduct audits and ensure compliance with Australian WHS laws.

Qualifications

• Tertiary WHS qualifications and professional accreditation.
• Proven experience leading WHS programs across large organisations.
• Strong knowledge of Australian WHS laws and compliance.
• Experience with workers' compensation and injury management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Able to develop WHS training and wellbeing initiatives.
• Driver licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of MTC Group’s WHS framework, policies and systems.
• Provide expert WHS guidance to leaders and employees across MTCFR and MTC RL.
• Drive a positive safety culture through engagement and coaching.
• Prepare WHS reports, metrics, risk analysis and compliance updates for senior leadership.
• Monitor WHS legislation and industry developments for ongoing compliance.
• Oversee WHS audits and corrective actions.
• Manage WHS governance processes and committee reporting.
