Job summary

JBS Australia in Caroona, NSW is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to lead WHS across the Caroona Feedlot. Reporting to the Feedlot Manager, you will partner with site leadership to drive safety improvements and ensure compliance with legislation and JBS safety requirements.

You will oversee hazard identification, investigations, inspections and contractor management while building capability through the WHS Committee and ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• WHS experience with ability to interpret safety legislation
• Proven ability to coach leaders and employees in WHS
• Certificate IV WHS or equivalent desirable
• Experience in intensive agricultural/feedlot environment highly regarded
• Strong communication and collaborative approach to safety
• Autonomy with effective teamwork
• Organisational skills for fast-paced operations
• Proficient MS Office skills (Excel/Word/Outlook)
• Genuine commitment to improving safety performance and culture

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement in workplace health and safety across the site
• Oversee implementation of the JBS Safety Management System and site safety activities
• Lead hazard identification, investigations, inspections and contractor management
• Coordinate emergency preparedness and WHS reporting
• Lead the WHS Committee, promote consultation and develop safety capability across the site
• Coach leaders and team members to embed safety in daily operations and wellbeing initiatives
