Job summary

The Anglican Church Southern Queensland (ACSQ) is seeking a Work Health and Safety Coordinator to support the WHS management framework across the Diocese. You will provide practical advice, coordinate risk controls and assist leaders and workers with legislative obligations and safety culture improvements.

Reporting to the WHS Manager, you will help implement, maintain and review policies, conduct hazard identifications, incident investigations and regular workplace inspections across multiple

Qualifications

• Qualified in WHS with relevant discipline or practical experience.
• Experience supporting WHS systems in a multi-site organisation.
• Knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and workers' compensation.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation, maintenance and review of WHS management system and records.
• Provide practical WHS advice to managers and workers, escalate high-risk matters.
• Identify hazards, assess risks and implement effective controls.
• Coordinate WHS consultation activities and follow-up actions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and update WHS documents and comms.
• Compile WHS performance and incident information for review.
• Coordinate workplace inspections, audits and corrective actions.
• Undertake parish safety audits and visits as required.
• Support injury management and return-to-work activities with stakeholders.
