Job summary

Anglican Church Southern Queensland (ACSQ) is seeking a Work Health and Safety Manager to lead the WHS framework across ACSQ. You will develop and implement an enterprise WHS strategy, provide expert advice to executives, and partner with leaders, workers and volunteers to foster a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in work health and safety or equivalent.
• Experience leading WHS strategy, systems and programs.
• Knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and codes of practice.
• Ability to influence executives and leaders, enabling practical controls.
• Strong analytical and data-driven approach to risk and reporting.
• Police check and valid driver licence; willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an enterprise WHS strategy and system.
• Provide timely WHS advice to executives, managers and workers.
• Lead risk identification and management of psychosocial hazards and incidents.
• Establish governance, consultation and assurance arrangements.
• Monitor regulatory developments and update policies and tools.
• Prepare WHS performance and risk reports for leadership and committees.
• Lead audits, inspections and corrective actions.
• Manage relationships with regulators, insurers and providers.
• Oversee incident notification, investigation and learning processes.
