Job summary

Wisdom Homes is seeking a proactive WHS Coordinator to support and coordinate health and safety activities across our NSW operations. The role focuses on maintaining a safe environment for employees, contractors, suppliers and visitors, and working closely with the General Counsel and construction teams.

You will maintain WHS records, coordinate inductions, support risk assessments, and manage safety communications and audits.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or equivalent.
• 1–2 years' experience in a similar WHS role.
• A white card.
• Experience in construction, building or related industry preferred.
• Strong organisational and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate WHS records, registers, policies and procedures and keep documentation current and accessible.
• Coordinate induction packs for new subcontractors and suppliers; prepare WHS reports and scorecards; monitor actions.
• Assist with risk assessments reviews and implement control measures.
• Coordinate annual first aid kit inspections and office/site evacuation procedures.
• Prepare safety alerts and communicate WHS requirements and findings; support consultation.
• Maintain WHS data in systems and assist audits and reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve WHS processes and safety culture across the business.
• Provide training, guidance and support to team members to promote safety.

Wisdom Homes is seeking a proactive and organised WHS Coordinator to support and coordinate work health and safety activities across our business, helping maintain a safe working environment for our employees, contractors, suppliers and visitors.

Working closely with our General Counsel and teams across Construction, Sales and Head Office, you will play an important role in maintaining WHS compliance, coordinating safety initiatives and promoting a positive safety culture across Wisdom Homes.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

• Maintain accurate WHS records, registers, policies and procedures, ensuring documentation is current and accessible.
• Coordinate induction packs for new subcontractors and suppliers, prepare regular and ad hoc WHS reports and scorecards, and monitor outstanding safety actions.
• Support the review and updating of risk assessments, identify recurring hazards and assist with implementing appropriate control measures.
• Coordinate annual first aid kit inspections across Head Office and display homes, arrange replenishment of supplies, and manage Head Office emergency evacuation procedures and training.
• Prepare safety alerts, communicate WHS requirements and inspection findings, and support consultation with employees and managers.
• Maintain WHS information in systems and assist with internal audits and compliance reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve WHS processes, risk management practices and safety awareness across the business.
• Help foster a proactive safety culture by providing training, guidance and support to team members.

About You:

• A Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (WHS), or equivalent qualification.
• 1–2 years' experience in a similar WHS role.
• A white card.
• Ideally, experience within construction, building or a related industry.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to identify issues, follow up outstanding actions and escalte risks appropriately.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with WHS systems.
• A proactive approach to learning, problem-solving and continuous improvement.
