Job summary

Recruit Shop Pty Ltd in Woolloongabba is seeking a dedicated WHS & Compliance professional to own and manage workplace safety systems and processes. The role focuses on establishing robust safety controls and audit programs across residential, commercial, insurance and solar sites.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in WHS.
• Experience in a WHS role, preferably in construction or trades.
• Sound knowledge of WHS legislation and compliance requirements.
• Experience conducting safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Experience developing and implementing policies, processes and procedures.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to engage with staff at all levels.
• Proactive, adaptable and organised approach within a growing business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site safety audits of technicians (about 10 per month) across residential, commercial, insurance and solar sites.
• Verify safety documentation in the office (SWMS, Take 5s, test results and job records).
• Continue improving safety processes and procedures.
• Set up and manage the company’s audit schedule, and coordinate client or builder audits.
• Track technician licences, tickets and apprentice supervision to keep the team compliant.
• Deliver safety inductions for new starters, apprentices and subcontractors.
