Zusammenfassung

Hays Construction is partnering with a leading builder to recruit a WHS Advisor for a landmark Brisbane apartment development. You will be site-based, reporting to the Project Manager and HSEQ leadership, and will drive safety excellence across the project.

You will conduct inspections, audits, incident investigations and SWMS reviews, while coaching management and subcontractors and supporting injury management. A strong WHS background in large-scale residential/high-rise projects is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or higher.
• Experience as WHS Advisor within the construction sector.
• Experience on projects valued at $100M+.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive and solutions-focused approach to safety.
• Ability to build strong relationships across project teams.

Aufgaben

• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits.
• Facilitating toolbox talks and pre-start meetings.
• Monitoring subcontractor safety compliance.
• Reviewing SWMS and high-risk work activities.
• Investigating incidents, hazards and near misses.
• Maintaining site safety records and reporting requirements.
• Providing coaching to site management and subcontractors.
• Assisting with return-to-work and injury management processes.
• Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with WHS legislation and company procedures.
