Job summary

Westernport Water is seeking a practical Workplace Health & Safety Advisor to join our team in Victoria. This ongoing full-time role focuses on maintaining and improving the WHS Management System, risk assessments and incident investigations across our district.

You will partner with managers and staff to drive compliance and a proactive safety culture. With Band 5 remuneration ($81,829.28 - $104,041.08) and flexible work options, you will balance day-to-day WHS support with broader improvement

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in WHS or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 3 years of practical WHS experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of OHS Act 2004, regulations and codes of practice.
• Proven ability to conduct inspections, risk assessments and investigations.
• Experience coaching staff on hazard identification and reporting.
• Experience leading WHS improvement projects and change initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the WHS Management System and annual plan.
• Provide guidance on hazard identification, risk assessments and incidents.
• Promote proactive safety culture through coaching and support.
• Conduct WHS inspections and audits to strengthen compliance.
• Deliver WHS training, inductions and contractor compliance support.
• Support injury management, return-to-work and committee initiatives.
