Job summary

NSW Health Ministry is seeking a Senior Advisor, WHS to strengthen safety culture across the organisation. You will provide specialist WHS advice, influence leaders and drive governance, risk management and wellbeing initiatives.

The role partners with senior teams to foster a proactive safety approach, supports investigations, and delivers education programs to build capability and accountability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated specialist WHS advice in a complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, policy frameworks and standards.
• Experience with WHS investigations, audits and risk management.
• Ability to analyse information and identify emerging risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proven track record in delivering high-quality outcomes on time.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant related experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders to create safe, healthy, psychologically safe workplaces.
• Act as a trusted WHS advisor on complex workplace safety matters.
• Lead WHS governance, identify risks and address issues proactively.
• Use data to identify improvements and drive safety initiatives.
• Facilitate consultation with leaders, employees and committees.
• Support investigations and translate lessons into improvements.
• Co-design WHS education and improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to strategic projects on safety and wellbeing.
