Job summary

SEE Group on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a WHS Advisor to shape a strong, positive safety culture across the business. Based locally, you’ll collaborate with teams at all levels to drive safe, compliant practices that protect workers and communities.

You’ll lead incident investigations, risk assessments, audits and training, while partnering with project teams to embed proactive health and safety management.

Qualifications

• Diploma in WHS or equivalent.
• Desirable: Cert IV Training and Assessment.
• Experience on Civil Construction projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite WHS support and investigations.
• Assist risk assessments and safety planning.
• Conduct WHS audits and report findings.
• Develop and implement safety strategies and training.
• Coordinate site health and wellbeing initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

The Opportunity
SEE Group have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a WHS Advisor and play a key role in shaping a strong, positive safety culture across the business. Based on the Sunshine Coast, you’ll have the opportunity to work across a dynamic environment, build strong relationships with people at all levels, and make a genuine impact through continuous improvement and best-practice safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Providing onsite support, upskilling and facilitation of incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Partnering with project team to support proactive management of key health and safety risks and providing advice in line with WHS Management System.
• Conduct WHS Audits and report on findings
• Implementation and WHS strategies, initiatives, training and coaching.
• Coordination of site-based health and wellbeing initiatives.
• Identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities in all areas of the WHS function.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Hold a Diploma in WHS and Cert IV Training and Assessment (TAE) (desirable)
• Previous experience on Civil Construction projects
