Job summary

We are seeking an experienced WHS Manager to join a purpose-driven not-for-profit organisation committed to the safety and wellbeing of its people. This 12-month contract focuses on delivering strategic projects, strengthening the WHS Management System and embedding a proactive safety culture across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in WHS, Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulatory requirements and WHS Management Systems.
• Proven experience developing and implementing WHS frameworks, policies, procedures and systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading WHS projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, consultation and influencing skills across all levels of an organisation.
• Experience using WHS data and reporting to identify trends, measure performance and drive preventative initiatives.

• Lead the implementation of a new WHS software platform to support the WHS Management System.
• Partner with external consultants to develop and enhance WHS policies, procedures, guidelines, registers and tools.
• Review and strengthen emergency management, fire safety and preparedness processes across the organisation.
• Lead WHS projects and continuous improvement initiatives aligned to the organisation's three-year WHS roadmap.
• Provide expert advice on WHS legislation, risk management and organisational safety requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Develop and implement practical WHS frameworks, procedures, tools and action plans to improve safety maturity.
• Partner with leaders and stakeholders to strengthen safety culture, consultation and proactive risk management; and
• Analyse WHS data, monitor proactive safety initiatives and provide reporting, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Key Requirements
