Job summary

Holy Cross School, Trinity Park, invites applications for a School Learning Officer (Wellbeing). The role supports teachers to maximise learning outcomes for students through individual or small-group work aligned with PLP/HIP plans, and day-to-day wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
• Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to teachers to support student learning aligned with PLP and HIP plans (individualised and small-group sessions).
• Collaborate with teachers and staff across departments, attending care team, PLP and HIP, and safety meetings.
• Supervise and support students requiring substantial adjustments inside and outside the classroom.
• Support delivery of school activities such as concerts and sporting events.
• Assist students in extra-curricular activities and with writing/reading interventions; implement PLP/HIP modifications.
• Screen and assess students; maintain accurate records of progress and communicate with staff.
• Support student engagement and behaviour plans; reinforce safety and school expectations.
• Provide routine help to students with physical, emotional or medical needs; manage resources and equipment.
