Job summary

Holy Cross School, Trinity Park, Cairns, is seeking a School Learning Officer (Wellbeing) for term-time, fixed-term until 17 April 2028, 29.6 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role supports teachers to meet learning goals and manage student wellbeing.

Salary is SOF Level 3, $34.17–$35.62 per hour plus 12.75% super. Applicants must hold a Working with Children Blue Card and align with Catholic Education values.

Qualifications

• Hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
• Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education.
• Ability to provide learning support and adjustments under PLP/HIP.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to teachers to support student learning aligned with personalised learning plans and HIP/PLP.
• Collaborate with staff across departments and participate in care, PLP and HIP meetings.
• Support students with substantial adjustments inside and outside the classroom, including during activities and events.
• Assist with setting up learning environments and maintaining resources and records of student progress.
