Job summary

MacKillop Education Waranara School in Annandale, NSW, is seeking a Wellbeing Coordinator to lead the wellbeing team, liaise with families and healthcare professionals, and support students to thrive in both wellbeing and education. The role reports to the Principal and requires a strong trauma-informed approach within a school setting.

The position includes ensuring child safety compliance, working with staff and community partners, and contributing to positive outcomes for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in Counselling, Psychology, and/or Youth Work.
• Significant demonstrated experience.
• Knowledge of adolescent development and trauma-informed practices.
• Awareness of Aboriginal culture and current issues affecting Aboriginal families.

Responsibilities

• Lead the wellbeing team and liaise with families, healthcare professionals, staff and students.
• Support students to thrive in their wellbeing and meet educational needs.
• Ensure Mackillop Education Waranara School is child safe and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with community stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for students and staff.
• Manage risk within the school and work with peers on safeguarding.
