Job summary

Alexandra Secondary College in Alexandra, VIC, invites applications for a Student Wellbeing Coordinator. You will triage and oversee the wellbeing needs of students, reporting to the Wellbeing Leading Teacher, and work five days a week during normal school hours.

The role involves collaborating with welfare staff, coordinating with external agencies, arranging assessments, providing counselling, and maintaining learning and safety plans to support students’ learning and development.

Qualifications

• Ability to use data to inform decision making.
• Ability to condense information from different stakeholders into useful reports such as Individual Support Plans.
• Ability to plan, organise and chair meetings with stakeholders to deliver focussed goals.

Responsibilities

• Work with welfare team to plan support and events.
• Triage student wellbeing and allocate to welfare team members and external services.
• Manage appointments and communication with in-school health programs.
• Refer students to external agencies (e.g., CAMHS, Headspace).
• Meet with Year Level Coordinators to set up programs and support plans.
• Provide counselling and support disclosures.
• Attend and chair Student Support Group meetings as required.
• Liaise with parents, carers and external staff to implement strategies.
