Qualifications

  • High-risk work licences and related tickets are a plus.

We partner with major clients in construction, manufacturing, steel, and heavy industry to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality project outcomes. With a growing team, we are looking for an experienced Welding Supervisor to support our workshop and site operations.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Welding Supervisor to work across both workshop and site-based operations. The role involves supervising welding and fabrication activities, coordinating personnel and work requirements, maintaining quality standards, and providing hands‑on technical support to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.

This is a practical leadership role suited to an experienced tradesperson who can lead from the front while maintaining strong standards across safety, quality, productivity, and workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervising welding and fabrication activities across workshop and site operations.
  • Coordinating tradespeople, work priorities, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensuring welding activities are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications, procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Monitoring workmanship and assisting with inspections and quality documentation.
  • Providing technical guidance and hands‑on support to welding and fabrication teams.
  • Coordinating with managers, supervisors, clients, and other trades as required.
  • Supporting site installations, maintenance, shutdowns, and project works.
  • Monitoring productivity, job progress, and completion of assigned works.
  • Supporting the development and competency of welders, boilermakers, and apprentices.
  • Following all WHS policies and maintaining safe work practices.
About You
  • Trade-qualified Boilermaker / Welder with strong welding and fabrication experience.
  • Welding supervision, inspection, or relevant welding qualification. (AS1796:2001 - Certificate 10)
  • Demonstrated experience supervising welding, fabrication, or industrial work crews.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, procedures, drawings, and fabrication requirements.
  • Experience working within quality-controlled welding and fabrication environments.
  • Ability to coordinate personnel and work across both workshop and site environments.
  • High-risk work licences and additional industry tickets highly regarded.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Positive, accountable, and practical leadership style.
