Job summary

Rapid Perforating Pty Ltd in Sydney, NSW, is seeking skilled Welders/Metal Fabricators to join the workshop team. The role involves welding to Australian standards, cutting, grinding, and fabricating products for grating and handrail departments.

You will read and interpret drawings, build jigs for custom items, and operate a range of workshop machinery. A strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship is required.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience or qualifications for a similar role.
• Australian Citizens & Permanent Residents only.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding to Rapid Perforating requirements and Australian Standard guidelines.
• Carry out cutting, grinding, and general metal fabrication tasks.
• Fabricate and weld products within both the grating and handrail departments.
• Assemble handrails and balustrades to specification.
• Read and interpret workshop drawings and fabrication plans.
• Design and build jigs for non-standard or custom items.
• Operate a variety of workshop machinery, equipment, and hand tools.
• Assist with general fabrication shop duties as required.
• Undertake other reasonable duties consistent with your skills, training, and experience.
