Job summary

RPR Trades is seeking an experienced First Class Welder to join a leading Australian bus manufacturer in Brisbane. You will weld and assemble bus chassis and framework components in a modern manufacturing facility.

Key duties include reading drawings, cutting and shaping metal, joining sections, inspecting welds and maintaining a clean, safe workspace with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• First Class Welder, Boilermaker or Welder/Fabricator experience.
• Previous bus, truck, heavy-vehicle or automotive experience.
• Strong welding and fabrication skills.
• Ability to read drawings and diagrams.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work safely within a production team.

Responsibilities

• Welding and fabricating metal chassis and framework sections.
• Reading and interpreting drawings and work instructions.
• Cutting, shaping and aligning metal components.
• Joining sections through welding, bolting and riveting.
• Inspecting, cleaning and finishing completed welds.
• Using hand tools, power tools and welding equipment.
• Assisting with vehicle modifications, panels and fittings.
• Maintaining a clean and safe work area.

About the Role
