Job summary

Industrial Fittings Sales seeks a trade-qualified Welder/Fabricator at our Rocklea facility for end-to-end fabrication of bike racks and components. You will input in design, cut, drill, mill and assemble parts ready for sale, with opportunity to work with CNC machinery if you have the desire and skill.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years post trade workshop experience in a welding fabricator role.
• Experience in light fabrication.
• Solid fabrication & welding experience in a workshop environment.
• Interpret technical drawings (assembly & sub-assembly).
• Commitment to safety.

Job description

We are seeking a trade qualified Welder/Fabricatorwith a desire to run their own race. You will be working in our Rocklea based manufacturing facility, predominantly on our Dirty Possum Mountain bike racks and componentry . You will be responsible for the whole process.

You will have input in design, cut, drill, mill and assemble the products ready for sale.

You will also have the opportunity to work with CNC machinery if the desire and skill is shown.

Experience/Skills:

Minimum 2+ years post trade workshop experience in a welding fabricator role

Experience in light fabrication

Good solid fabrication & welding experience in a workshop environment

Mark off/out structural fabrications & shapes

Assemble fabricated components

Interpret technical drawing (assembly & sub-assembly process)

A strong commitment to safety

Mandatory Skills & Knowledge:

Formal trade qualification - Boilermaker or Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication Trade)

Relevant welding & industry standards

Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
