Job summary

Programmed, on behalf of our client in the Eastern Suburbs, is seeking experienced Welders for ongoing, long-term roles at a manufacturing facility in Melbourne. You'll join a skilled production team and perform MIG, TIG and Pulse welding to produce vehicle protection components in line with drawings and SOPs.

Experience is valued; no formal qualifications required, but reliable, team‑oriented workers with good communication will thrive in this hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• MIG, TIG and Pulse welding experience preferred.
• Reading engineering drawings and SOPs.
• Reliable, independent and team-oriented.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate vehicle protection products including bull bars, wings, side rails, rear bars and underbody protection.
• Perform MIG, TIG and Pulse welding.
• Finish and grind fabricated components.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and SOPs.
• Carry out general fabrication and manufacturing duties.

About the Role

We are currently seeking experienced Welders for ongoing opportunities with our client at their manufacturing facility in the Eastern Suburbs.

These are hands‑on manufacturing roles producing vehicle accessory products. The successful candidates will work as part of a skilled production team, producing high-quality components in line with engineering drawings, SOPs and daily production requirements.

Whilst qualifications are not necessary for the role, experience is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate premium vehicle protection products including bull bars, wings, side rails, rear bars, underbody vehicle protection and other components
• Perform MIG, TIG and Pulse welding
• Complete grinding and finishing of fabricated components
• Read and understand Engineering Drawings and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Carry out general fabrication, assembly and manufacturing duties

Requirements

• MIG, TIG and Pulse welding experience highly regarded
• Experience setting up brake press tools and dies
• Ability to read and understand Engineering Drawings and SOPs
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
