Job summary

Programmed is recruiting experienced Machine Operators for a manufacturing site in the Eastern suburbs. You will operate brake press machinery to bend, fold and cut metal components, reading drawings and SOPs, and meeting daily production targets.

No formal qualifications are required, but metal fabrication and brake press experience are highly regarded. Join a hands-on production team in a long-term, Monday to Friday role with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing is preferred.
• CNC programming experience is highly regarded.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate brake press machinery to bend, fold and cut metal components.
• Set up and operate brake press tools and dies.
• Produce premium vehicle protection products to required quality standards.
• Complete First Offs and Last Offs in accordance with quality procedures.
• Read and understand Engineering Drawings and SOPs.
• Meet daily production schedules and production targets.
• Carry out general manufacturing and fabrication duties.
• Maintain machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Ensure products meet required quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organised workstation.
• Attend daily toolbox meetings.
• Complete general housekeeping duties.
• Follow OH&S policies and procedures, including wearing correct PPE.

About the Role:

We are currently seeking experienced Machine Operators for ongoing opportunities with our client at their manufacturing facility in the Eastern suburbs.

These are hands-on manufacturing roles operating brake press machinery to produce high-quality vehicle protection components. The successful candidates will work as part of a skilled production team, bending, folding and cutting metal components in line with engineering drawings, SOPs and daily production requirements.

Whilst qualifications are not necessary for the role, metal fabrication and brake press experience is highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate brake press machinery to bend, fold and cut metal components

• Set up and operate brake press tools and dies

• Produce premium vehicle protection products to required quality standards

• Complete First Offs and Last Offs in accordance with quality procedures
