Job summary

Tyree Transformers is seeking skilled welders and boilermakers for our state-of-the-art fabrication workshop in Mittagong. This full-time role offers an afternoon shift, an attractive hourly rate, and opportunities to work on transformers, kiosks and related components.

You will read technical drawings, weld with MIG/TIG/Arc, maintain safety and quality, and collaborate with trades to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Boilermaking is required.
• Proven experience in industrial fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate transformers, kiosks and other components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Weld and cut metal using MIG, TIG, Arc techniques.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Inspect and test completed structures for quality and durability.
• Adhere to safety standards on-site.

About the Role

• Fabricating of transformers, Kiosks and other components.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Welding and cutting metal materials using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc).
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Inspecting and testing completed structures and repairs for quality and durability.
• Adhering to all safety standards and regulations on-site.
• Working collaboratively with other trades and construction teams to ensure efficient project completion.

About You

• Trade qualification in Boilermaking (Cert III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade).
• Proven experience in the Boilermaking trade, ideally in industrial and Light to Heavy fabrication environments.
• Strong understanding of welding techniques, fabrication, and installation procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious with a commitment to following workplace health and safety standards.
• Experience in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
