Job summary

CDH Contracting is expanding into residential fencing, earthworks and property improvements in the Wagga Wagga and Riverina region of NSW. We are seeking a capable Welder / Metal Fabricator to join the team, with opportunities to take on more responsibility.

You will work across fencing, fabrication, repairs and property projects, with above-award pay based on experience and a company ute provided where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Welding and fabrication experience required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a crew.
• Strong attention to detail and safety mindset.
• Current driver licence required.
• Ability to interpret measurements and basic fabrication drawings.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, stick welding or heavy steelwork is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Welding and repairing gates, steel fencing, posts, brackets and other metal components.
• Fabricating and modifying steelwork to suit job requirements.
• Supporting rural and residential fencing installations.
• Repairing machinery attachments, trailers and equipment where suitably qualified and authorised.
• Reading measurements, plans and job specifications.
• Maintaining a safe, organised work area and looking after tools and equipment.
