Job summary

Cardinia Engineering Group NSW is seeking an experienced welder/fabricator to join a small team on a long-term national contract. This is a full-time, ongoing position with opportunities for growth as the business expands.

Relocation to larger premises on the Central Coast may occur as the company relocates to Jilliby area. The role involves MIG welding of steel components, laser welding of sheet metal, light fabrication, and reading basic drawings.

Qualifications

• Welding experience is essential.
• Reading and interpreting basic technical drawings is required.
• Ability to work independently in a small team environment.

Experienced Light Welder/Fabricator – Immediate Start

Cardinia Engineering Group NSW is a growing fabrication business based in Fountaindale on the Central Coast. We’re looking for an experienced and reliable welder/fabricator to join our small team manufacturing products under a long-term national contract.

This is a full-time, ongoing position offering consistent work and the opportunity to grow with the business.

Please note: We will be relocating to larger premises elsewhere on the Central Coast, potentially in the Jilliby area, as the business continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities

• MIG welding of steel components
• Laser welding of sheet metal and components — full training provided
• Light fabrication and assembly
• Reading and interpreting basic technical drawings
• Producing accurate, high-quality work consistently and efficiently

Requirements

• Previous welding experience — essential
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Reliable, productive and able to work independently
• Comfortable working as part of a small team
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Additional trade skills, tickets or licences will be highly regarded, including experience in areas such as:

• Spray painting
• Fitting and machining
• CNC operation
• MR/HR truck licence
• Other fabrication, manufacturing or workshop-based skills
