Job summary

Brisbane Steel Sales is a fast-moving steel supplier based in Rocklea. This hands-on role combines welding, fabrication and warehouse duties for a varied daily workload, with a focus on accuracy and timely order fulfillment.

You will MIG-weld, cut steel with saws, process orders, load vehicles using an overhead crane, pick/pack, stock shelves, and read simple drawings. A small, efficient team environment with strong safety practices awaits.

Qualifications

• Fabrication and welding experience with structural steel; certificates required.
• At least 5 years in fabrication and welding of structural steel.
• Forklift licence required; any type accepted.
• Overhead crane experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Fabricator / Store Person (Structural Steel) — Variety Role (Not 24/7 Welding)

We're not looking for someone to weld the Harbour Bridge all day.

About the Role

At Brisbane Steel Sales, we supply structural steel to builders and fabricators — fast.

This role is hands-on and varied:

• ~30-40% fabrication (posts, plates, light structural work)

• The rest is real warehouse operations — cutting, processing, loading, and keeping jobs moving

You'll be a key part of making sure orders go out accurately, on time, every time.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

• Fabricating and welding (MIG) — mainly posts & plates

• Cutting steel (bandsaw, cold saw)

• Processing daily customer orders

• Loading customer utes and trucks (overhead crane)

• Strong safety mindset

Optional Bonus (Not Essential)
