Nucrush Group on the Gold Coast seeks a Weighbridge Allocator to coordinate aggregate movements and manage a fleet of tipper trucks across quarry sites. Based at Oxenford, you will operate two weighbridges, monitor one on-site and another remotely, and liaise with drivers and production staff daily.
You will handle customer enquiries, quotes, and incoming sales orders, maintain stock data, and support early starts from 5.45am with occasional overtime and weekend rosters.
Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a skilled Weighbridge Allocator to help efficiently plan the movements of our Heavy Vehicle fleet of tippers to all our internal and external customer sites.
Based in our hard rock Quarry at Oxenford, our Weighbridge office is a hive of activity and a checkpoint for visitors, contractors, machinery operators and truck drivers. It is also a point of sale, so it can get pretty busy!
You will be involved with the operation of two heavy vehicle Weighbridges. One is on-site at the Quarry and the other is monitored remotely.
Reporting to the Logistics Manager - Tippers & Tankers and working with others in the Weighbridge team, you'll be in constant contact via 2-way radio with drivers and quarry machinery operators and on the phone dealing with customer enquiries, quotes and incoming sales orders.
You'll have accurate numeracy, attention to detail, intermediate computer skills, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, and effective time management.
You'll also have availability and reliability for early starts (5.45am for opening at 6.00am), daily overtime when needed and Saturday mornings (when rostered).
Duties include:
Coordinating aggregate and inventory levels and allocating a fleet of tippers
Liaising with production staff to ensure data recorded in stock inventory system is up to date
Organising external hauliers to ensure future product requirements are met
Weighing and ticketing of truck movements
Maintaining databases, including but not limited to contractors, drivers and mass management records
Adhering to Chain of Responsibility and other regulatory requirements
Performing general administration duties including quotations and payment processing
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in a Weighbridge or heavy vehicle logistics role, with Quarry products knowledge as an advantage.
Safety-minded and familiar with Fatigue Management, Chain of Responsibility, etc.
Computer and administration skills
Mathematical aptitude for weights, times, distances, rates, etc.
Ability to work both as part of a team and autonomously.
Someone with a friendly demeanor and well-developed interpersonal skills
Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work calmly under pressure, multitask and prioritise.
Excellent customer service for both internal and external truck drivers
