UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families is seeking a Weekend Cook to support BlueCare’s Gympie Aged Care Facility. The role runs Saturdays and Sundays from 6am to 2pm, focusing on high‑quality, resident‑centred dining and adherence to dietary requirements.

You will work with the Home Services Lead and Chef to ensure meals are appetising, well‑presented and served safely, while maintaining a clean and compliant kitchen environment.

Formación

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
• Food safety knowledge and safe food handling practices.
• Understanding of IDDSI requirements, allergies and dietary needs.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow directions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, cook and serve meals in line with menus and dietary needs.
• Ensure all meals meet IDDSI, allergen and texture-modified requirements.
• Deliver meals that are well-presented, appetising and at the correct temperature.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating and kitchen operations.
• Follow safe food handling, hygiene and infection control standards.
• Complete documentation including temperature checks and production records.
