Job summary

BlueCare is seeking a Cook at the Toowoomba Aged Care Facility to support high-quality, resident-centred dining. You’ll prepare and present meals meeting dietary needs, while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and assisting the team under the Home Services Lead and Chef.

This permanent part-time role involves shifts starting as early as 6am and may include weekend work. Enjoy salary packaging benefits and being part of Australia’s trusted aged care provider.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
• Food safety knowledge and safe handling practices.
• Understanding of IDDSI, diets and allergen considerations.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow direction.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and serve meals per menus, recipes and dietary needs.
• Ensure meals meet IDDSI, allergen and texture requirements.
• Deliver meals that are well-presented and served at correct temperature.
• Support food preparation, portioning, plating and kitchen operations.
• Follow safe food handling, hygiene and infection control standards.
