Job summary

Southern Cross Care WA is seeking Aged Care Support Workers across Perth. A personal vehicle is required for work; candidates should have 3–5 days of weekday availability with a bubbly, approachable attitude. You will drive between clients' homes to deliver care in their own residences.

Qualifications

• Initiative and the ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task.
• Great interpersonal & communication skills.
• Ability to quickly learn and use new software for record keeping.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Certs in Aged Care or Individual Support or Community Services or equivalent.
• Manual Handling and/or Medication Administration certificates.
• NDIS Worker Screen Check.
• Valid Drivers Licence and a reliable roadworthy vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities – personal care, medication monitoring, meal preparation, shopping and social support, cleaning.
• Regularly liaise with Care Coordinators to provide updates on client care needs.
• Carefully follow client care plans and log activities via smartphone.
• Develop trust and maintain positive rapport with clients and their families.
